About Us

The Literacy Council of West Alabama is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 by the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama and many other community partners to reduce illiteracy in the community. The counties served in this region are Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa.
